The Financial Analyst is a key member of the accounting department who is responsible for ethically performing tasks that are in compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies. These tasks include, in part, oversees the preparation and evaluation of budgets, forecasts, costing and inventory control, preparing the monthly and quarterly forecast and analyzing and communicating any changes; and managing the fixed asset and capital acquisition program. Hours are Monday through Friday - 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with flexibility for occasional weekends and nights to support operations, paying $55k-$65k/year!

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of budgets.
  • Presenting various accounting reports and key metrics to the top management and making suitable observations and recommendations.
  • Managing data accuracy and integrity.
  • Developing proper operational, data documentation and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Reinforce and champion the idea and culture of continuous improvement and motivate ideas for pipeline improvement projects.
  • Review and update standard costs (inventory valuation) for all items annually.
  • Review and explain significant variances and reporting of margins by program
  • Supply historical costs and help prepare and review quotes/bids submitted to customers
  • Be an active employee in finding continuous improvements, cost reductions or eliminating non-value added tasks to streamline processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor s Degree in Accounting
  • CPA / CMA certification preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounting
  • 1 - 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Baan manufacturing ERP experience preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power Point)
  • Familiar with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations
  • Technical problem solving and analytical skills required
  • Strong and well developed verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills
  • Knowledge of ERP configuration, manufacturing processes, and systems
  • May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
  • Sitting/Standing/Walking: Daily duties may require extended duration of sitting. Frequent walking may be required.
  • Vision: Must be able to, with or without accommodation, read information on a computer screen or print.
  • Hearing: Must be able to, with or without accommodation, use a phone.
  • Office environment is in a manufacturing facility. Dress code is business casual and must represent the company in a professional manner.
