  • Performs troubleshooting on CNC controls and drives.
  • Performs accuracy verifications on critical machinery to ensure machines are capable of producing parts to required specifications.
  • Performs mechanical/electrical/hydraulic troubleshooting and determines repairs needed to restore the equipment to safe and efficient operating condition.
  • Repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic production machinery.
  • Performs scheduled preventive maintenance on assigned machines to provide increased machine up-time.
  • Interacts with machine manufacturers on technical issues to return a machine to service which may include root cause analysis, definition of problems, actions taken to date, and parts required.
  • Performs assigned tasks, e.g., scheduled preventative maintenance and response to breakdowns.
  • Repairing equipment or developing alternative solutions to present as repair options.
  • Test and diagnostic equipment are employed to detect out-of-tolerance conditions.
  • Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in work area.
  • Practices excellent housekeeping in work area.
  • Continues to learn trade and existing equipment, and infrastructure on site.
  • Troubleshoots and repairs facilities infrastructure as assigned.
  • Demonstrates leadership in safety, TPM, and other change processes as signed by supervision
  • Individual will be required to lead other team members and employees in efforts
  • Gives and obtains information requiring limited explanation to machine operators and team leaders.
  • Must listen to information provided by operator to assist in troubleshooting repairing the problem. Shares skills and information with others shift(s) team members, to proactively prevent recurring problems.
  • Communicates action plans and timelines to (internal) customer.
  • Understand budget process and assists in developing budget line items associated with area of expertise.
  • Works with minimal supervision and must be proactive.
  • A major responsibility is to maintain a safe work environment for everyone on site.
  • Prioritizing work, finding efficient ways to accomplish tasks, and then communicating them are key to success.


  • BHS/GED. BS in related field preferred, or equivalent years of experience.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical/electronic schematics and have the ability to isolate problems.
  • Additional in-house training on operation of mechanical drives, hydraulic pumps and valves, pneumatics, control systems, gears and clutches.
  • Houston Operating Procedures. START Audit or Safety Program.
  • Ability to run various machines will be required in order to make the repairs.
  • Advance machine diagnostics from G&L and Siemens.
