Production Control Coordinator (8 Openings)-- San Antonio, TX 78217

1st and 2nd Shifts AVAILABLE, paying $15/hr!
1st Shift: 4:00 AM - 1:00 PM
2nd Shift: 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM
(8 hr. days, 5 days a week, alternating weekends off, 40 hrs. per week)
We are looking for 8 dependable/energetic and self-starters who can work independent and as a team to include being a key contributor to the continued success of our client's team.

Responsibilities:

  • Daily verification of production reported by production staff.
  • Data entry for MRP planning changes (moving work orders, reopening work orders).
  • Ensure all material consumption transactions are completed within 3 hours of the work.
  • Responsible for maintaining material usage standards to his or her assigned value stream.
  • Weighs WIP totes/barrels, reports variances to standards to lead
  • Weighs FG containers/cases, reports variances to standards to lead
  • Reconcile inventory of raw materials as per the Bill of Materials (work orders).
    a. Work order verification
    b. if out of standard variance, conduct root cause analysis with production team and record to work order
  • Coordinate activities with supply chain as requested by Lead.
  • Know and recognize quality procedures, and take action when defects are identified.
  • Attend production huddles.
  • Maintains confidentiality and professionalism when handling company information (purchase orders, work orders, etc.)
  • Follow all HACCP guidelines and GMP's at all times, support production team with positive reinforcement
  • Follow all food safety and OSHA safety rules at all times, support production team with positive reinforcement
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED is required
  • 1-2 years of leadership experience
  • Basic Computer skills with ability to learn new software/applications
  • Strong math skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • 1-2 years' experience with production control or accounting
  • Excellent Attendance Record required
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and/or Ability to work in a stressful environment
  • May move/push/pick up products weighing between .5 (1/2) pound up to 60 pounds at various times, using second person if required by safety standards. Ability to work in above freezing temperatures for an extended period of time in a damp environment for full shift. Position will be on their feet, walking and standing, for the majority of the shift.
  • Some college or technical education is a plus
  • Knowledge of Lean Principles/Concepts
  • Kanban a plus
  • Flexible, with strong teamwork orientation
  • Strong orientation toward quality, safety and continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively implement change
