Responsibilities:

  • Support and be involved in Safety. PIMS and plant programs as required.
  • Assist with unloading and ensure inbound raw material shipments are validated against freight bill before carrier departs
  • Validate (internal & external) vendor packing slip/route packet matches physical materials & quantities received
  • Inspect materials against company Quality and purchase order requirements
  • Electronically receive materials into inventory control systems (JOE)
  • Update hand written purchase order information on partial P.O. receipts and file
  • Print and apply inventory control labels
  • Perform routine audits of raw materials that: have a prescribed shelf life.
  • Work with plant personnel and support staff to gather dimensional. Performance and functional data in the assessment of product quality. This may be accomplished through product testing. Product measuring and/or product sampling and will require written summaries of data collection including basic statistical analysis.
  • Monitor compliance to ISO 9001 system guidelines and requirements for receiving.
  • Attend assigned meetings. Working with cross functional teams, as a representative of the QA/QC group.
  • Assist in the development of processes and procedures associated with receiving process improvements. Operational excellence and/or ISO compliance.
  • Perform other routine tasks as assigned by the Quality Manager and/or his delegate.

Requirements:

  • HS diploma required, but 2 year Associates degree in a quality or technical field and/or ASQ certification in a recognized discipline preferred and oror 2-5 years related work experience
  • A working knowledge of necessary instruments and their utilization, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other testing equipment including electronic gauges and computers.
  • A working knowledge of statistical and mathematical analysis along with scientific techniques to aid decision making and ability to utilize blueprints/drawings effectively.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 and its requirements
  • Sound analytical skills relative to problem solving and good interpersonal skills
