Responsible for using and maintaining machine tools to create custom stone parts with a high degree of accuracy. Responsible for material inventory organization and for material receiving, unloading, preparation, inspection and packaging as needed; This opportunity is a DIRECT HIRE!!!!! Paying $31,200-$41,600 yearly, depending on experience.

  • Reads and understands the specifications or blueprints for the work to be done and plans the steps to be taken to complete the project.
  • Uses extensive knowledge of available materials and the latest technologies to plan and select the material and tools to be used for the project.
  • Shapes the material by cutting, drilling, boring, turning, milling, planning, grinding and applying correct adhesives.
  • Finishes and assembles parts by hand and uses scribers, gauges and other instruments to achieve accuracy.



  • Must have previous stone machining/fabricating experience
  • A high school diploma is required and some vocational training is preferred. Good mechanical inclination, finger and arm dexterity skills required.
  • CNC Machining experience a PLUS- not required.
  • Remains up-to-date on information about new technology in materials, methods and equipment.
  • Operates forklift and overhead crane/jib crane to move, organize and package material.
  • Job-site Installation duties may occasionally be required.
  • Maintains machines, tools and working environment organized and efficient.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing with management and other co-workers is important.
  • Regular use of a variety of machines and tools is essential. Standing for extended periods is common. Hearing and vision within normal ranges is important for conversations, to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents, manuals and drawings.
    Some medium lifting is expected. Exertion of up to 50 lbs. of force occasionally is required. Good manual dexterity for the use of mechanical equipment such as drills, lathes, mills, grinders, and other machines or measuring tools is required.
  • Good math and reasoning ability is essential. Able to apply statistical calculations, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, and sampling theory as well as geometry, trigonometry, algebra, linear equations, and other analytics as required. Able to understand and utilize engineering drawings, operating manuals, and blueprints to conduct business.
  • The job is performed indoors on a manufacturing floor and outdoors on inventory storage area. Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, heat, sparks, and smoke may occur. Protective safety equipment may be required including appropriate clothing, shoes, gloves, hardhat, and goggles as needed. Activities include extended periods of standing and extensive work with measuring devices and heavy machinery.
