Bilingual Customer Service Representative

Customer Service Representative (Bilingual in English/Spanish required) for a Direct Hire opportunity in NW Houston area! This company markets gorgeous Italian marbles and stone for residential and commercial use. Company provides benefits such as 401K, Health Insurance and paid vacations! Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM 6:00 PM, paying $18-$20 per hour

The employee is responsible for answering telephone calls from the construction trade, preparing quotations, logistics associated with material shipment, order placement in Activate software, performing general customer service duties and general clerical support for the office.

Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephone calls promptly and courteously; screens calls, transfers caller to correct individual; does not leave a caller on hold or unattended for extended periods of time; takes complete and accurate messages when person called is unavailable and distributes messages in a timely manner.
  • Responds to customer inquiries/information needs and provides positive, courteous service to customers; answer questions regarding product line, prices, and delivery times, warranty periods, customer service and credit/financing arrangements.
  •  Sends product literature, samples, price catalogs, references and other data to customer as required.
  •  Prepares orders and price quotations and transmits to customers.
  • Works with the Credit Department to establish new accounts; assists customer in preparing and processing credit/financing arrangements paperwork & transactions.
  • Assist in handling the needs of Field Sales Representatives; work with Production and Vendors to expedite or insure timely delivery of scheduled shipments; maintain close liaison with other departments to carry order through to completion.
  •  Prepares returned goods paperwork, including original purchase order, copies of invoice and packing list and complete Returned Goods Authorization and forwards to Receiving and Accounting.
  • Runs routine weekly and quarterly sales reports.
  • Prepares website sample orders for the production area and ensures the sample orders are shipped on time and to the correct location.
  • Straightens and maintains orderly appearance of work area.
  • Performs routine clerical functions as requested.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma is preferred.
  • Must have 2 to 5 years of Inside Sales and Customer Service experience
  • Good communication skills (English/Spanish capability required) and the ability to work well with people is essential.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office computer applications is beneficial.
