Compile records related to MRP, ordering, receiving, storing, issuing, cycle counting and shipping materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Participate in expediting the flow of material, parts and assemblies between sections or departments. This is a temp to hire position working 2nd shift 2:30pm -11:00pm paying $13-$15/hr depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  •  Review receiving or shipping notices and requests for movement of raw materials and finished products to determine that documents are complete and to prepare for scheduling.
  • Compile data from sources such as contracts, sales orders, purchase orders, bills of materials (BOM s), requisitions and accounting reports.
  •  Verify or prepare records such as routing slips, material requisitions and job orders.
  •  Compile and maintain manual or computerized records, to include material inventory, in-process production reports and location of materials.
  •  Interpret MRP output to schedule the issuance of manufacturing work orders and purchase requisitions.
  •  Keep back order file in established sequence and release back orders for issue or shipment as stock becomes available.
  •  Compile stock control records and information such as cycle counting, characteristics of items in storage, and current sales volumes, to determine stock supply and need for replenishment.
  •  Prepare requisitions, orders or other documents for purchasing or requisitioning new or additional stock items.
  • Track and expedite items to meet on-time demand.
  • Compare nomenclature, stock numbers, authorized substitutes and other listed information with catalogs, manuals, parts lists, bids, bills of materials and similar references to verify accuracy of requisitions and shipping orders.
  •  Review files to determine unused items and recommends disposal of stock


Requirements:

  •  High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or nine to twelve months related experience and/or training.
  •  Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  •  Able to work under moderate supervision in a manufacturing environment.
  •  Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office products to include Word, Excel, ERP and MRP systems. Familiarity with computer networks and e-mail.
