Temp-to-hire Material Handler needed with working hours of  7:00am to 4:00pm or 8:00 to 5:00 plus overtime as needed. Overtime may include weekends, paying $15.00 to $16.50 depending on experience.

  • Properly ships all products, supplier returns, or other material releases
  • Packages to the appropriate government and domestic levels working with Trade Compliance to ensure all US and foreign country requirements are met on export shipments
  • Verifies the accurate completion of all shipment documents
  • Determines freight costs
  • Ensures that all container markings are properly applied
  • Selects and schedules freight lines for shipments
  • Performs electronic transactions within the business operating system
  • Interacts with internal and external customers to ensure compliance with customer shipping requirements
  • Manages warranty parts returned from customers and Return Material Authorization requests
  • Monitors and maintains packaging inventory
  • Process/manages dangerous goods shipments to meet regulatory requirements for DOT, IATA, or IMDG
  • Safely operates and maintains all material handling equipment
  • Maintains daily equipment inspection records and performs general maintenance as required
  • Participates in continuous improvement processes
  • Performs daily organization and cleanup of work area
  • Follows safety guidelines and reports unsafe conditions and incidents to supervision
  • Performs work of a miscellaneous nature as required


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer literate
  • One (1) year of related shipping clerk experience in a manufacturing environment
  • One (1) year of experience selecting and scheduling freight lines for shipment
  • Must be able to obtain forklift license certification meeting OSHA requirements
  • Ability to use various hand and power tools
  • Ability to use carts and manual lifting devices to move products within the shop
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Three (3) or more years of related shipping clerk experience
