Project Coordinator

Production/Inventory Control Coordinator for a clerical/office role with an Oilfield Equipment Manufacturing corporation in the North Houston/Tomball area. This is a possible temp to hire opportunity This is a possible temp to hire opportunity paying $18 to $30 an hour based on experience. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE ON HOW FRAC (FRACKING) EQUIPMENT IS BUILT AND OPERATED.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and managing production schedules to ensure 100% on-time delivery of all customer orders.
  • Will spend 60% of the time tracking materials in the yard and heat; 30% of the time in the non-climate control shop area and 10% of the time in an office on the computer.
  • Ensure raw materials are available and allocate raw materials to job order.
  • Maintain KanBan inventory at proper levels by reviewing sales demand on a monthly basis, including adjusting inventory levels and items.
  • Enter shop labor transactions in QAD.
  • Record transfers and issues of materials in QAD, with responsibilities involving work in progress and finished goods.
  • Record and maintain documentation necessary for production.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office especially in Excel.
  • Good communication skills, written and verbal
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required but 4 year degree preferred
  • 2+ years office/manufacturing experience with project management and/or coordination of Production and Inventory
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment when in designated areas and must be able to work in the heat of the yard and in a non-climate controlled shop during parts of the day
  • Knowledge of basic Production Control principles.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Maintain effective material and product flow through production areas.
  • Maintain and monitor inventory of manufactured parts to fulfill current and forecasted orders.
  • Reconcile work order reports; determining inventory variance root cause.
  • Work with team to establish containment and preventative actions.
  •  MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE ON HOW FRAC (FRACKING) EQUIPMENT IS BUILT AND OPERATED.
