Quality Control Inspector-- Waller, TX 77484

Assure that products sent to our customers are in conformance to requirements by performing inspection duties that include, but are not limited to: Dimensional verification of components and assemblies, verification of quality documentation, witness of product testing, visual examination of product, technical assistance to outside suppliers, engineering and operations, and working with customer inspectors. This position is temp to hire 1st Shift (7AM to 3:30PM), paying $16.50-$17.00/hr, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs Receiving, In-process, and Final inspections of new and rental product.
  • Performs functional tests on piece parts.
  • Performs inspection of assemblies.
  • Perform Visual Inspection of components and assemblies in accordance with applicable documents.
  • Works with Customer inspectors in the examination of product.
  • Assist Engineering and Operations in the investigation of product failures.
  • Assist outside suppliers with problems related to subcontracted parts.
  • Assist in the training of other personnel as required.

Requirements:

  • Familiar with, and knowledgeable in the use of, the typical measuring tools used for mechanical inspection such as dial calipers, micrometers, hardness testers, optical contour projector, hard gauges and Gage maker Mic-Trac system.
  • Familiar with current health, safety & environmental (HSE) training as per division training matrix (Including regulatory and SES required courses).
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote safe operations
  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software such as Microsoft Word and Excel, including programming used for Quality Control and Inspection activities.
  • Ethical business practices
  • Applicable PPE required to complete assigned tasks
  • Must have a working knowledge of high school mathematics including algebra and trigonometry.
  • Familiar with Quality Systems and requirements
