Recruiter needed for NW Houston Area! This is a temp to hire role possible DIRECT HIRE paying $50K with excellent benefits and growth potential!!!

Responsible for the recruiting and hiring process for all positions. Coordinates recruiting for all temporary positions. Schedules and conducts face to face interviews. Ensures the hiring process is effective and legally compliant, including all applicant associated documents are complete. Makes hiring recommendations based upon telephone and face to face interviews. Coordinates correspondence with hiring managers for scheduling interviews and hiring decisions. Provides informed professional assistance to managers pertaining to recruiting.


  • Assists in the placement of employment ads, including internal postings, web page postings, job boards, university, college, and high school programs, as well as other Internet resources.
  • Conducts pre-hire duties including skill assessment administration and background checks, including credit and criminal, along with ChexSystems. Ensures all employment and education verifications, as well as bondability and reference checks are complete in accordance with HR procedures.
  • Administers FCRA Adverse Action steps with regard to applicants when necessary. Seeks HR management consultation regarding FCRA for direction.
  • Offers employment to selected candidates and coordinates welcome correspondence/offer letters (when requested) to new hires that explain necessary pre-hire details. Announce new hires to HR and appropriate managers/senior management.
  • Enters e-Verify data and information for new hires on the government s website per federal regulations. Reports any unusual activity to supervisor. Performs annual I-9 audit, reporting any findings to supervisor for further review.
  • Manages staffing agency relations, resume flow on candidates presented, follow-up communication, and notification regarding candidate selection. Ensures agency background screens on selected candidates are complete and received prior to new hire onboarding.
  • Maintains Referral payment program and sends spreadsheet to AVP Human Resources each week. Ensures all employee referrals are reported on the spreadsheet and payment is coordinated through payroll (with AVP HR).
  • Conducts Drug Screening coordination for new hires, staff random monthly screens (work with vendor on selection) and reasonable cause testing. Submits abnormal results to supervisor.
  • Creates and posts internal position openings. Ensures internal candidates meet minimum qualifications and are in good standing with respect to current employment.
  • Makes job offers to internal candidates, makes announcements, and coordinates job transfer details.
  • Maintains current job openings report and sends to senior management weekly. Updates recruiting (including transfers and promotions) spreadsheets, pre-screen phone call logs and interviews scheduled report.
  • Ensures employment denial letters are sent and maintains the applicant flow logs.
  • Co-conducts new employee orientation at least every other month for all new personnel.
  •  Prepares for new hire orientation and sends agendas and associated updates and announcements.
  • Assists in the coordination of management s involvement with new hire orientation.
  • Creates biography spreadsheet of all new hire orientation attendees and distributes to management prior to sessions.
  • Oversees the planning and coordination of internal quarterly job fairs.
  • Creates and prepares annual OSHA report. Distributes to all branches for posting during required time period.
  • Performs duties relating to the Bank Secrecy Act including monitoring for and reporting suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Completes the required level of in-house certifications and training, including the annual Bank Secrecy Act course.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisors.


  • Education: Bachelor s degree or equivalent work experience
  • One to three years of similar or related experience in human resources
