Electronics Technician-- Houston, TX 77065
Under the supervision of the Quality Director, the Electronics Technician is responsible for designing & executing lab tests. Technician wanted for Temp-to-Hire, First Shift, paying $21/hr!

Responsibilities:

  • Be able to construct prototype or testing fixtures using surface or through hole components.
  •  Knowing how to orient and solder sufficiently to produce basic to intermediate assemblies.
  • Background in electronic and PCB troubleshooting.
  • Possess the electronic and mechanical aptitude to learn electric actuator products for the purpose of testing and for troubleshooting.
  • Perform Visual Inspection on electronic components and boards to identify component mounting issues, traces other potential quality issues.
  • Read schematics and follow electronic layout drawings to assist with board troubleshooting or builds.
  • Must follow all factory and laboratory safety guidelines
  • May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High School diploma and some basic instruction on electronics and electronic troubleshooting
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in a related industry and test lab environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and experience; mathematical aptitude
  • Must be familiar with the use of common hand tools and electronic test lab equipment
  • Clear verbal & written communication skills
  • Computer skills: basic usage of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn basic drafting skills to document test fixtures, etc.
  • Previous experience with pneumatic, hydraulic and/or electric actuators is a plus.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
