System Assembly Technician-- Houston, TX 77040

Performs assembly of Sample Handling Systems (SHS) and Cabinet & Shelter System Integration according to engineering schematics and blueprints. System Assembly Technician role is temp to hire, First shift 6:30am-3:00pm, paying $19/hr-$32.50/hr.

  • Determine layout, structure and design of sample plates, conditioning systems and cabinet/shelter integration to provide the best visual effect
  • Mark-up Engineering drawings by adding manufacturing details (e.g. Instrument & Electrical bulks and brackets etc.)
  • Read schematics and flow diagrams to cut and bend 1/16 316SS tubing
  • Assemble sample systems utilizing tubing, conduit, flow meters, valves, filters, pumps, regulators, rotometers, vaporizing regulators, heat trace, and solenoids.
  • Install analyzer and various components (HVAC, insulation, PowerPanel, Instrument and Electrical bulks etc.) as required on the Analyzer Enclosure
  • Install electrical conduit, wiring and cabling system designs for hazardous and non-hazardous area analyzer pack
  • In addition to using various hand tools, operate circular and band saws, jig-saw, drill press, pipe threader, grinding and buffing wheel, and stud welder
  • Run wiring on the Analyzer System
  • Perform required testing per work instructions
  • Prepare units for shipment per established work instructions and checklists
  • Can produce a quality product to existing standards


  • High School graduate or equivalent (GED)
  • Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing assembly
  • Experience with Sample Handling Systems or Cabinet/Shelter System Integration
  • Prior experience installing HVAC, insulation, PowerPanel and electrical components on cabinet/shelter is a plus
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Ability to work in demanding, fast paced environment
  • Can work independently and in team environment to accomplish goals/objectives
  • Must wear eye protection while on the production floor
  • Must abide by site locations safety policies and procedures
