Under supervision from the Materials Manager, the Warehouse Inventory Counters are responsible for performing cycle count activities and other assigned duties. These positions are Temp-to- Hire, paying $14.00/hr with working hours of 7am - 3:30pm, must be OVERTIME flexible. Must have previous counting experience!

  • Perform counts of items in inventory through the Oracle ERP system; matching part number, quantity, and locators.
  • Ensure that all items counted are in their correct location and stored in a manner that allows the items to be identified and counted correctly.
  • Fill out daily activity reports and maintain all required records related to cycle counting.
  • Perform recounts on those items with a variance outside the threshold.
  • Investigate and identify all root cause issues that create a positive or negative variance of more than the target threshold.
  • Determine the cause of inventory record errors and formulate solutions to correct the problem areas.
  • Check items during the normal cycle counting activities for physical deterioration and notify supervisor of deteriorated items.
  • Ensure that all items issued from inventory have the correct paperwork prior to release, and that the released inventory is correct in both quantity and part number.
  • Handle all paperwork and computer-related tasks to ensure that inventory data is accurate.
  • Analyze count records to determine trends and process improvement opportunities in inventory errors.
  • Maintain Root Cause and Counter-measure tracking sheet and Pareto chart.
  • Conduct V-Lookups and other intermediate level Excel tasks, as assigned.
  • Develop training materials and presentations in PowerPoint. Provide training, as required.
  • Conduct research related to Obsolete & Slow Moving Material and proposed disposition.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.


  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of cycle count experience with knowledge of inventory control required.
  • Experience processing warehouse transactions in Oracle required.
  • Some proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint including V-Lookups in Excel.
  • Experience with development of training materials for Cycle Count Program. Experience with Pareto charts.
  • Experience coordinating activities and information between the Cycle Count Department and other departments.
  • Experience with creation of PowerPoint and other presentations for training purposes and to represent the needs and activities of the Cycle Count Department.
  • Previous Attendance of and Exposure to Excess & Obsolete Inventory Review Meetings preferred.
  • Lift up to 50lbs. assisted by another co-worker
  • Stand up to eight hours per day
  • Ability to work in a seated or standing position
