Mechanical Assembler I or II
Pay Rate: $18 - $22/hour, depending on assembly type and experience
Shift: 5AM to 1:30PM, likely daily overtime and weekend work required (usually working 10 hour shifts M-F and 6-8 hour shifts on Saturdays)

Job Fuctions:
? Reads work instructions, work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, and/or
receives verbal instructions regarding required duties
? Interprets assembly instructions, drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications to build/test
quality products
? Assembles different parts of manufactured products using hand tools, power tools, machines, and
equipment
? Completely assembles, tests, disassembles, and repairs products built on the line
? Sets up moderate to semi-complex test equipment on a variety of products to measure and record
assembly conformance to test specifications
? Sets up test stands with appropriate plumbing for pneumatic and hydrostatic tests from required
product test specifications
? Completes required test documentation including test reports
? Inspects, understands, and documents all materials, heat numbers, components, subassemblies,
and specifications to assure they meet the accepted quality standards
? Completes required inspection documentation, marking of heat #'s and nameplate
? Participates in continuous improvement events with active involvement
? Safely operates tools and machinery while performing daily tasks
? Provides safety observations of other employees, workstations, facility, tools, and machines
? Observes the safety of other employees and reports unsafe acts or conditions to a leader
? Practices Stop Work Authority to immediately shut down production and report safety or quality
concern(s) to a leader
Position Details:
? Candidate must reside in: Houston, TX or surrounding area
? Work week and shift: 5AM to 1:30PM, Monday through Friday. Daily overtime and weekend work is
required.
? Compensation package offered: Competitive hourly rate and quarterly bonus eligibility.
? Assembly training will be provided for entry level candidates
? New hire orientation is provided
? On the job training on processes, procedures, and product assembly
Minimum Qualifications
? High school diploma, GED or equivalent
? At least one year of related experience in manufacturing assembly and testing of oil and gas
services products; automotive repair and maintenance, appliance repair or assembly, handheld
electronic device repair or assembly
? Requires ability to read, speak and write in English, following verbal and written instructions
and communicating information
? Experience using a personal computer and working in a manufacturing workstation
? Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers,
common fractions, and decimals
? Experience using hand tools, power tools, presses, assembly equipment and product test
equipment
? Experience properly and safely operating some type of assembly and testing equipment
? Experience meeting safety standards and quality standards
? Demonstrates good interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
? Ability to work quickly and accurately
Preferred Qualifications
? At least one year of experience in the assembly and testing of the following types of products: relief
valves, chemical injection pumps, control/dump/check valves, butterfly valves, liquid level
controllers/switches
? Prefer experience in oil and gas products with high mix and low volume manufacturing
? Experience with little direct supervision while operating alone and meeting expectations for quality
and productivity
? Experience with manufacturing line setups and documentation
? Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and Bills of Material (BOM)
