SUMMARY
Quality Supervisor leads the quality department to ensure all quality processes are adhered to and updated as required. Responsible for the strategic and tactical goals of the Quality Department.
Serves as an internal and external quality analyst for solving quality issues to ensure consistent high value with the company’s products and services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Works closely with Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Sales in the following functions:

Drives Continuous Process Improvement activities throughout the organization using statistical techniques and lean methodology. |
Support engineering product launches providing PPAP direction for the organization including but not limited to Control Plans, PFMEA, DFMEA, process Maps, and Capability Studies |
Improve Quality Management System procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 |
Focus on supplier continuous improvement efforts, which include visiting suppliers for audits. Follow-up and track corrective action plans. |
Perform internal audits and facilitate action plans for nonconformance’s |
Conduct / Organize training of employees on ISO-9001, statistical techniques problem solving, quality awareness. |
Communicates quality issues across all areas of the company. |
Conduct Performance Management Process of direct reports. |
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Technical Field and 5-10 years’ experience as a Quality Engineer or equivalent.
Specific Skill requirements include:
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven teamwork and leadership ability
- Must have an extensive understanding of statistics
- Proficient in data analysis identifying patterns or trends
- Expertise in ISO audits
- Supplier improvements
- Hands-on measurement knowledge
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, MRP platforms and Statistical software.
REASONING ABILITY
Proven problem solving ability. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Desired: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, ISO-9001 Lead Auditor
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of Foundry processes and sandcasting.
Knowledge of machining
Knowledge of valve industry
