Accountant
Temp to Hire
Pay: $50K - $53K annually
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hybrid work schedule, with remote flexibility
Job Function/Purpose
The Accounting Specialist is responsible for the analysis and reporting of financial data and information.
Duties
- Perform some or all of various accounting functions including:
- Prepare journal entries and coordinate monthly close process.
- Review and monitor accruals and journal entries.
- Review and make adjustments to general ledger.
- Track and maintain fixed asset account.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Responsible for the timely payment of all payables.
- Research and assist with vendor payments.
- Year-end form 1099 and 1096.
- Responsible to maintain association funds and ensure they are FDIC protected.
- Assist with the completion of annual budgets
- Assist in internal and external audits
- Assist in making deposits
- Assists in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports
Qualifications
- At least 2-5 years of experience in accounting or general business
- BS degree in accounting a plus
