Accounts Payable Specialist
Pay Rate: $20-25/hr
Maternity Leave Coverage

**MUST be able to perform detail line by line item approvals**
The accounts payable specialist is responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services including processing invoices and payments within established time frames.
Job Duties:
- Open and review incoming invoices that come through accounting system or via email.
- Manually key invoices into the accounting system.
- Prepare invoices for payment and making sure bills are paid on time.
- Mail out payments.
- Process ACH payments.
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to vendors enquirers.
- Perform research on vendor accounts and process adjustments as necessary.
- Run and review various accounts payable reports.

- Maintain confidentiality of all data encountered in work environment.
- Present favorable impression in dress, personal hygiene and business attitude.
- Other duties assigned by management.
- Assist with payroll when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one-year experience in accounts payable.
- Familiar with grocery, food brokerage or restaurant industries preferred
- Familiar with line-item entry.
- Knowledge of multi-line entries, inventory, units of measurement
- Use Restaurant 365 Software- a PLUS!
- Comfortable with math and calculations.
- Knowledge in Restaurant 365 or Sage accounting software is preferred.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Problem solving skills.
- Inventory unit of measurements knowledge.
- Ability to work well with others within a team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, & Outlook.
- Ability to adhere to strict confidentiality rules for the handling of sensitive financial information.
