Job Description

Accounts Payable Specialist - Houston, TX 77095
Temp to Hire
Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
 
Duties Include:
  • Enter & Process Invoices in an efficient & timely manner
  • Prepare Invoice Support (Copies, Scanning & attaching Invoices)
  • Process Check Runs to pay invoices when due
  • Monitor the AP email box daily
  • Charge expenses to corresponding GL Accounts by analyzing Invoices
  • Ensure all invoices are verified & coded correctly
  • Reconcile Credit Checks
  • Perform tasks necessary for Monthly Closings
  • Manage and present company expense forecasting (forecast of upcoming/recurring bills, etc) to leadership
  • Working knowledge and understanding of income statements, balance sheets and financial statements
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma
  • Accounting degree or coursework preferred
  • 3-5+ years of Accounts Payable experience
  • MS Outlook, Excel & Word
  • Basic bookkeeping & accounting principles
