Job Description

Import/Export Coordinator (Freight Forwarding)
Temp to Hire 
Hours: Monday thru Friday flexible shift between: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay: $21.00 - $28.00+ per hour 
IN-OFFICE

**This role handles domestic/international - Air/Ocean/Ground Logistics - Import/Export**

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clerical and administrative support for sales and logistics, including creating spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence.
  • Receive dimensions and weights and enter and send out to brokers for qualified bids.
  • Schedule shipments, get trucking quotes, arrange pickups/deliveries, and monitor costs and timelines.
  • Handle domestic freight claims, analyze rates, and support freight requests from other departments.
  • Handles Air and Sea Waybills.
  • Process freight billing in SAP.
  • Check international shipping documents for accuracy and create proformas for customs.
  • Review and code vendor invoices for payment.
  • Communicate with Customs Brokers (Canada)
  • Answer phone calls, handle customer inquiries and complaints, maintain files, and track billing activities.
  • Handle FedEx, UPS, DHL tracking
  • Perform other administrative and logistics tasks as needed.
 
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, able to follow written and verbal instructions, prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Experience with international shipping documents for accuracy and create proformas for customs
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment
  • 5+ years in a direct logistics role; experience managing high volumes of paperwork and working under pressure.
  • Willing to work extra hours when needed and follow all company safety and quality procedures.
