Job Description

Route Clerk
Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $16-$17/hr.
 
Job Summary
The Route Clerk is responsible for performing daily audit reviews for all deliveries and transport routes. This role ensures handheld imports, tickets, and route data are uploaded accurately and on time into the company’s financial systems.
 
Responsibilities
  • Perform daily route audits and verify handheld import files.
  • Review ending inventory, sales, deposits, over/short totals, load error adjustments, and dump totals.
  • Communicate with branch managers to resolve route discrepancies, missing sales, cash shortages, and product variances.
  • Research hand tickets not captured in handhelds and key donation and dock sale tickets.
  • Work with Shared Services to resolve over/short balances, missing tickets, PODs, and customer short pays.
  • Enter and reconcile daily cooler inventory counts in ROSS.
  • Resolve cooler variances with the Shipping Manager and finalize daily cooler inventories.
  • Support the Distribution Manager with administrative tasks and special projects.
  • Maintain strong organization, accuracy, and communication.
 
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Strong 10-key and mathematical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with general ledger codes and route settlement processes (preferred).
  • 1 year of 10-key typing or math-related experience (preferred).
