JOB DESCRIPTION: Production Planning and Control Coordinator
Salary Range: $68,000 - $85,000/yr
Key Responsibilities:
1. Production Planning
- Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules.
- Ensure production capacity is optimized while meeting delivery commitments.
- Adjust schedules based on material availability, manpower, and machine capacity.
2. Production Control
- Monitor production progress and address deviations from plan.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
- Track work-in-progress (WIP) and ensure smooth workflow across departments.
- Ensure timely completion of production orders.
3. Production Inventory Management
- Monitor raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory levels.
- Coordinate with Procurement to ensure timely material availability.
- Prevent excess inventory and material shortages.
- Conduct regular inventory analysis and reporting.
4. Coordination & Communication
- Act as liaison between Production, Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, and Quality teams.
- Communicate schedule changes and production priorities clearly.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to improve operational efficiency.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare production reports, KPIs, and performance analysis.
- Maintain accurate production records in ERP/MRP/MES systems.
- Support management with data-driven recommendations.
Requirements:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in production planning, manufacturing coordination, or supply chain roles is required, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Extremely familiar with high volume and high speed electronics or consumer electronics production planning and control process is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to details.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication, comprehension, coordination and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
