Agent Services Representative

TPI Staffing is in need of a possible temp to hire Agent Services Representative. Paying $14/hr Mon-Fri 8am-5pm
to start ASAP!

As an Agency Services Representative, you may work with a headset, but it's your mindset that makes you most valuable. As the voice for the company, you'll be the one to interact with many of the agents who own and manage their businesses along with other stakeholders. Using your ability to make real connections with others, you'll help our customers with questions about navigating internal systems through the life cycle of a policy including new applications, renewals, payments and policy changes.

Responsibilities:

  • Patiently listen to callers and confirm the reason for call, while providing excellent customer service in responding to the reason for call
  • Ability to maintain high quality standards when working with customers
  • Responsible for insuring that calls get to the correct internal department when needed
  • Develop a working knowledge of company policies, procedures and rules to address basic internal and external customer processing issues
  • Resolve processing issues from internal and external customers by researching basic account information and policy history from multiple systems, explaining policy processing steps, and taking appropriate action
  • Correspond with agents to obtain missing information on agent submissions and ensure appropriate follow up with the customer
  • Responsible for answering questions regarding coverage and any policy transaction for all lines of business, and appropriately escalate agent or policyholder inquiries as necessary
  • Interpret, with little assistance, those procedures and rules that interface other company processes, including accounting and claims
  • Participate as subject matter expert for internal systems
  • Access multiple systems (e.g., on-line reference manuals, agent training material hosted at 2021, Texas Department of Insurance, etc.) to obtain information needed to resolve basic customer issues or questions
  • Effectively communicate with and engage with Underwriting Management

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in a customer service environment
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrable job stability with previous/current employment
  • Four (4) years of experience in a customer service environment
  • Proficient with basic computer skills Excel, Word, web browsers
  • Working knowledge of insurance or prior insurance experience
  • Bilingual abilities; English, and Spanish or Asian languages (such as Mandarin or Vietnamese)
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Ability to demonstrate critical thinking, decision making, and problem-solving sills
  • Ability to multi-task and pay attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, organization and time management skills
  • Technological skills, with the ability to navigate multiple company systems
