Buyer
Temp to Hire
Pay: $29.00 - $31.00 per hour

The Buyer/Purchaser is responsible for forecasting demand, procuring raw materials, components, tooling, and equipment at the lowest possible costs, tracking purchase orders to ensure timely shipment and accurate receiving, maintaining strong relationships with international vendors, and assisting in the development of departmental strategies.
 
Duties:
• Purchases raw materials, tooling, and components for custom and standard inventory as well as materials, office supplies and equipment needed for day to day operations.
• Maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, including communication, negotiation, and issue resolution.
• Generate purchase orders accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the warehouse to ensure adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
• Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and favorable terms.
• Maintain accurate records of purchasing transactions, contracts, and correspondence with suppliers.
• Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate procurement risks.
• Assist in sourcing new suppliers, conducting supplier evaluations, and qualifying new vendors.
 
Education / Qualifications:
• High School Diploma required
 
Skills & Competencies:
• High level of attention to detail & excellent interpersonal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
• Prior purchasing experience in a raw material or component environment is an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and computer skills.
