CNC Mazak Lathe Machinist
Temp to Hire Opportunity in N. Houston/Greenspoint area.
Night Shift: 6:00pm to 2:30am. (Must be able to work 6pm to 6am depending on production needs. Overtime maybe required) Will train on days.
CNC Mazak Lathe Machinist Responsibilities
- Ability to read and modify Mazatrol and/or G code programs.
- Perform housekeeping tasks as necessary to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Notify supervisory personnel if a nonconforming condition is disclosed.
- Set controls of feed, speed, depth of cut without supervision.
- Understand and apply optimal part holding techniques.
- Work with other operators as required to ensure optimum set up.
- Analyze and solve manufacturing problems with a high level of skill.
- Follows safety guidelines and procedures established by the company.
- Be able to calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and/or calipers.
- Machining parts to print/customer specifications.
- Be able to identify non-conforming parts using precision measuring instruments.
- Set up CNC Equipment and align parts in appropriate work holdings.
- Must be able to set tooling and apply offsets.
- Using tooling and material data the employee must be able to calculate surface footage to machine components.
- Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor.
CNC Mazak Lathe Machinist Requirements
- 2+ years of machining experience with Mazatrol controls.
- Must be able to setup, touch off tooling.
- Experience with CNC Mill a plus
