Entry Level CNC Programmer 

Temp-to-Hire

Pay: $22.00/hr.

Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Flexible to work OT)

SUMMARY:
Support CNC programming activities in conjunction with strategic goals of the Grocery store division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

OPERATOR (other duties as assigned)
Operate machine to cut, shape, or form workpieces to specifications, when required.
Manage program data and assure relevant programs are up-to-date for current production
Ensure supply inventory levels support the production schedule by reviewing material requisitions and expediting materials from the Receiving department.
Organize work flow by determining the priority of jobs based on standard reporting or scheduled meetings and determining when, where and how jobs will be worked.
Assist in efficient production by communicating to Team Leader possible avenues for better material yield or increased efficiency of routing techniques.
Manage tooling capability for the required machine function, based on product demand and application.

PROGRAMMER (other duties as assigned)
Ensure that program updates occur on a timely basis. Both NEW and SUSTAINING product.
Ability to utilize ENROUTE to program the CNC router.
Identify and stage raw materials and select the optimum tools required for job production.
Create AutoCad DXF drawings and program tool path as required.
Ability to use various programs like Corel Draw/ACAD/Adobe Illustrator to mate digital press files with Enroute to net identical product outcomes
Optimize machining through operation of local controls of CNC router and knife cutter and digitize; program optimum feeds, home and offsets.
Design and fabricate holding fixtures.
Maintain/Upload programs / files through daily backup of files.
Observe and listen to machine operation to detect malfunctions such as worn or damaged cutting tools.
Ensure that machines, equipment and tools remain in good working order by performing daily preventive maintenance, regular and consistent inspection and repair; completing checklists as needed.
Maintain a 5s, clean and orderly work area.
