Title: Janitorial Candidate
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, occasionally Saturday or Sunday as requested
Shift: 6:00AM to 2:30PM or similar shift (occasional overtime may be required)
*Will be working indoors and outdoors; must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, will be walking and on your feet up to 8 hrs daily, also must be able to use a walkie talkie for communication*
- Removal of trash (office, breakroom, shop, restrooms, outside receptacles)
- Breaking down boxes from shipments
- Sorting, cleaning and disposing of recycling materials (cardboard, plastics, paper, glass and cleaning as necessary)
- Driving forklift to move and dispose of trash (training and local certification will be provided prior to beginning this task)
- Clean shop floor (use of cleaning chemicals and floor scrubbing machine)
- Setup of chairs or tables for meetings or events
- Removal and disposal of metal shavings (training and local certification will be provided prior to beginning this task)
- Assist with trash pick up around the grounds (occasional outside work may be required)
- Touch up yard work - pruning and spraying weed control around surfaces and cracks.
- Operate a two-way radio to communicate with team within large facility.
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Must be able to speak and understand verbal instructions in English
- Must have experience with janitorial functions and tasks
- Must have experience working alone
- Must be able to stand and walk for up to 10 hours greater than 66% of the time
- Must be able to work in the outside elements for short bursts of time (up to 1-hour increments)
- Must be familiar with cleaning and cleaning chemicals
- Must have experience driving a forklift
- Must have experience using a box cutter
- Must have experience using Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, steel toed shoes, hard hats, gloves, etc.)
- Must have excellent attendance and strong work ethic
- Must have positive attitude
