Our company is seeking experienced foremen with management experience for production floor, department foreman positions in areas including, but not limited to, Welding, Assembly, CNC Paint and Manual Machining departments.
The department foremen position is responsible for supporting and overseeing the daily operations of their designated department, ensuring the production process runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This role involves managing a team, identifying and resolving operational issues, enforcing company policies and procedures, and ensuring the completion of administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of their department, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
- Lead, motivate, and manage departmental staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and high performance.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve operational and issues in keeping with established procedures to minimize downtime.
- Enforce safety protocols and company policies, conducting training and oversight to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintain clear communication with their direct reports, the Production Supervisor, and the Human Resources department to monitor and manage employee performance and attendance; issuing corrective guidance and disciplinary action as needed.
- Ensure all administrative tasks and paperwork related to daily department operations are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in the hiring and interview process, as well as the disciplinary and termination decision making process in compliance with company policies.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with other department foremen and management to ensure seamless operations across the company.
- Develop processes and procedures in cooperation with management and administrative personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- 3+ years of experience in a supervisory or foreman role in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
- Capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
- Must pass drug screening and background check.
- Microsoft office experience.
