Job Description

Grinder
Monday – Friday 3am to 1:30pm
Pay $15/hr.

Grinder Summary
Operate grinding equipment to remove cosmetic defects from casting prior to product machining.
 
Grinder Responsibilities
  • Visually inspect casting for defects prior to grinding.
  • Produce a finish on the casting that removes all cosmetic defects.
  • Responsible for bringing the casting defects to the supervisors.
  • Main objective is to ensure product quality before it enters machining area.
  • Maintain machinery, patterns, hand tools, and other equipment in good condition.
  • Perform job function wearing proper PPE as designated by the company.
  • Operate hand and power tools and machinery, including forklifts, semi-automated material handling equipment, and overhead cranes.
Grinder Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED, required.
  • Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts.
