2nd Shift Production Manager – Garland, TX
Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 3:00 PM – 2:00 AM
The 2nd Shift Production Manager will provide strong leadership and be responsible for the daily management, productivity, quality, and safety performance of assigned departments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and corrective action processes.

Key Responsibilities
Supervise all shop floor manufacturing operations involved in building stainless steel equipment.
Manage key performance indicators (KPIs) including production volume, quality, cost, and safety.
Ensure all production schedules are met and oversee daily activities of production personnel.
Maintain clear and detailed communication with the 1st Shift Manager and Director of Manufacturing to ensure smooth operational transitions between shifts.
Collaborate with the Director of Manufacturing regarding employee performance, issues, and concerns.
Train, evaluate, develop, discipline, and communicate consistently with shop employees.
Manage material shortages, maintain appropriate raw material inventory levels, and ensure all production documentation is completed accurately and on time.
Promote and enforce safe work practices to maintain a safe working environment.
Address facilities and equipment maintenance issues.
Lead and participate in departmental improvement initiatives.
Maintain shop schedules, track labor hours, and manage procurement needs.
Communicate engineering changes and required corrections through the Director of Manufacturing.
Required Experience & Skills
Minimum of five (5) years of experience supervising and leading a team of 20–40 employees in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience fabricating and building sheet metal assemblies.
Strong leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to plan, lay out, fabricate, and assemble sheet metal assemblies using personnel, hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and product specifications to determine fabrication and assembly methods.
Knowledge of material gauges and sheet metal types including galvanized steel, stainless steel, aluminum, plastic, and glass.
Experience operating and understanding CNC fabrication equipment such as lasers, brake presses, tubing cutters, specialty saws, and routers.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to inspect components and assemblies using drawings and precision measuring tools.
Proficient in computer systems, including MRP software, Excel, and Google Docs.
Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing processes and operational requirements.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
