CNC Machinist

Job Description

  • Set up and operate manual and CNC lathes, mills, and saws to fabricate steel and aluminum components.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and GD&T tolerances.
  • Cut, drill, thread, and machine parts to precise specifications.
  • Maintain tooling, fixtures, and machine calibration.
  • Perform accurate layout, measurement, and inspection using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Assist with fabrication and assembly of enclosure and tank components.
  • Work with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize setup.

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a machinist in a fabrication or manufacturing environment (CNC and manual).
  • Strong understanding of machining operations, speeds/feeds, and metal properties (aluminum, carbon steel, galvanneal).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and shop prints.
  • Familiarity with basic welding, drilling, and tapping processes a plus.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an industrial shop setting.
