Job Description
Schedule: Monday-Thursday 6:00am to 4:30pm
Pay: $26/hr to $28/hr depending on experience.
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment.
- Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.
- Maintains TPM program from factory equipment.
- Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction.
- Discusses machine operation variations with supervisors or other maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine.
- Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment.
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.
- Makes emergency repairs when necessary to limit excessive downtime and production delays.
- Repairs and maintains physical structure of establishment.
- Troubleshoots or repairs automated machinery and equipment such as robots or programmable controllers.
- Sets up and operates machine tools such as lathe, grinder, drill and milling machine to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools.
- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts.
- Coordinates material requisitions needed for each project.
- Follows all 5S practices and supports lean activities, as well as safety regulations policies and procedures.
- Works to reduce equipment down time.
- Performs other maintenance work as needed or dictated by the facilities manager.
- Education: High School/GED
- 3-7 years diagnosing and repairing mechanical equipment.
