Maintenance Technician
Temp to Hire
1st Shift: 4/10 shifts starting at 6am, ending at 4:30pm; with a 30-minute lunch and 2 breaks (morning and afternoon)
$22 - $25/hr
**Electrical experience is highly preferred**
Job Description: The Maintenance Technician will oversee the performance and maintenance of all production machinery.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines.
- Use maintenance management software and other means to record labor hours, work activities, spare parts used on each task.
- Identifies root cause of unexpected breakdowns of machines to prevent future issues.
- Repairs broken machinery quickly, efficiently, and safely.
- Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and all safety rules 100% of the time.
- Ability to fabricate or modify equipment as needed in a safe manner.
- Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills.
- Commercial electrical experience.
- Valid drivers license.
- Works with little supervision and will actively monitor equipment and machinery
- Must possess three (3) or more years of experience as a Production Mechanic in a manufacturing/industrial environment or have equivalent verifiable military or technical school experience, high speed production/packaging environment preferred
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Feel comfortable operating forklifts and heavy machinery.
- Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of electrical is preferred.
- Knowledge of eMaint or equivalent maintenance management software is preferred.
