QualIfications
•Bachelor of Science degree (B. S.M.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from four-year college or university; 5 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
•Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations
•Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis

Responsibilities
•Manage, plan, and design manufacturing processes for various graphics products, with an emphasis on sustaining existing products, processes, and workflows
•Directly supervises manufacturing engineering and programming personnel
•Responsible for coordinating general maintenance and repair on production equipment, improving uptime by executing preventive maintenance schedules
•Develop and implement improvements to manufacturing and production methods and processes in a full product life cycle
•Confer with planning and design staff concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods
•Manage tooling library, capabilities and general tooling upkeep
•Perform capital equipment analysis and Authorization for Expenditure (AFE) justification, based on latest trends in manufacturing technology
•Implement and direct installation of capital equipment as it related to production workflow
•Perform and recommend value-engineering changes for both sustaining and cost saving purposes
•Design jigs and fixtures for efficient production of products within various work centers
•Perform manufacturing workflow analysis (time studies), revise job routers for improved workflow and labor standards
•Create standard operating procedures and document existing manufacturing procedures
•Process ECN (Engineering Change Notices) to update Bom/Routers for accuracy and efficiency for production work orders
•Control product configuration and product files through established procedures
•Interface with manufacturing in support of product manufacture issue via MDI walk
•Provide guidance to design engineers for design-to-cost manufacturing considerations
•Establish 5S and Kaizen events to further efficiency in the production methods/processes/workflow
