Warehouse Associate / Sit-Down Forklift Operator
Pay: $15.27 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Associate / Sit-Down Forklift Operator to support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, shipping, storing, and transporting raw materials and finished goods. Candidates must have verified sit-down forklift experience and be able to safely operate warehouse equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive, ship, and store raw materials and finished goods.
- Load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift.
- Transport materials between loading docks, storage areas, and production locations.
- Review shipments for accuracy and inspect materials for quality.
- Secure loads using protective materials and strapping equipment.
- Stack and organize drums, pallets, skids, and warehouse supplies.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory control.
- Ensure timely movement of materials based on production and shipping schedules.
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Qualifications
- Minimum one (1) year of verified sit-down forklift experience required.
- Must successfully complete a forklift practical evaluation prior to hire.
- Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material handling experience preferred.
- Ability to safely operate powered industrial trucks and warehouse equipment.
- Basic math and written communication skills.
- Ability to lift, move, and transport warehouse materials safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
