Material Handler
Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $20.00/hr.
Shift: 8am – 4:30pm
Valid Driver's License Required
Forklift Requirements: Sit-down and combi-lift.
International industrial refrigeration, chemical processing, gas compression and food automation manufacturing company. We operate in 47 countries across the world designing, manufacturing, selling, and servicing large compressor units.
Job Description:
This individual will be responsible for transporting materials, supplies, and finished products to designated locations.
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
• Receives, distributes, and stores products as directed in designated, secure locations.
• Prepares and maintains records of materials received and shipped including dates of transactions, locations, and other pertinent information.
• Process orders in ERP system.
• Transports and loads materials, supplies, and finished goods (manually and/or using hand trucks and skids).
• Collects and properly disposes of scrap bracing, cardboard, and strapping; maintains a safe and clean work environment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Good math and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Safely operate a forklift (following appropriate training)
• Efficient time management skills.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or other formal training in related field preferred.
• At least two years of related experience required.
• Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
• Able to climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time
• Willing and able to work at heights, using ladders or lifts
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds at a time.
• Must wear safety gear, such as goggles and gloves, when handling box cutters or similar tools.
