Mechanical Assembler
Temp to Hire
Pay: $16.00 - $19.00/hour
Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
· Performs machine setup where applicable; runs machines and processes.
· Reads work instructions, work orders, follows production drawings and sample assemblies, and/or receives verbal instructions regarding required duties
· Interprets assembly instructions, drawings, schematics, and engineering specifications to build/test quality products
· Assembles different parts of manufactured products using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment
· Inspects, understands, and documents all materials, heat numbers, components, subassemblies, and specifications to assure they meet the accepted quality standards
· Completely assembles, tests, disassembles, and repairs products built on the line
· Follows Quality Policy and Procedures, OSHA guidelines and regulations governing workplace safety.
· Trains other employees on job functions and safety requirements, as needed.
· Performs other duties as requested by team lead.
· Follow all company Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.
· Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.
· Work independently and employ effective time management skills.
· Over-time as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
High School degree or equivalent.
· At least one year of related experience in manufacturing assembly and testing of oil and gas services products; automotive repair and maintenance, appliance repair or assembly, handheld electronic device repair or assembly
· Requires ability to read, speak and write in English, following verbal and written instructions and communicating information
· Experience using a personal computer and working in a manufacturing workstation
· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
· Experience using hand tools, power tools, presses, assembly equipment and product test equipment
Physical Requirements:
· This position requires frequent standing, walking, sitting, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling activities. In addition, there is frequent reaching and climbing of stairs.
· There is pushing and lifting / carrying of boxes weighing 35 lbs. Average vision and hearing is sufficient.
