Job Description

If you are interested, please stop by our Spring Office located at 322 Spring Hill Drive, Ste A100 Spring TX 77386. Anytime Monday - Friday from 9am to 3pm. Remember to bring your updated Resume and ID.
 
Melt & Pour
Monday – Friday 3am to 1:30pm
Pay $15/hr.

Melt & Pour Responsibilities
  • Maintain all furnace crucibles and ladles in good working condition
  • Melt aluminum in tilt, pit, or dip out gas fired furnaces maintaining correct pouring temperatures
  • Maintain correct scrap to ingot ratio
  • Maintain production and heat reports
  • Use proper pouring techniques
  • Apply weight on top of mold prior to pouring
  • Perform job function wearing proper PPE as designated by the company
  • Able to safely and correctly operate hand and power tools and machinery, including forklifts, semi-automated material handling equipment, and overhead cranes
  • Participate in training and continuing education
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Work overtime as required
Melt & Pour Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to lift parts weighing up to 50 pounds (assistance when needed) and to work in bending, standing, or squatting positions for long periods of time (excess of one hour)
  • Knowledge of Aluminum Melting Furnaces and related equipment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safe and proper pouring techniques.
  • Pass forklift certifications and requirements to operate forklifts
