Painter Helper
Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $22.00/hr.
First Shift
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, or applying chemical rinses.
- Apply paint according to specifications in shop book or company standards as needed.
- Use of LVHP paint guns to paint large surfaces and equipment.
- Carefully follow all guidelines for the safe handling, storage, recycling, disposal and logging of hazardous chemicals, waste, and paint use.
- Hand paint parts as necessary.
- Help peel tape when needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot paint equipment as needed to perform job duties.
- Maintain proper air flow in the paint booth; keep filters clean.
- Mix Paint according to proper ratios as indicated in the paint spec and/or shop book.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Clean paint booth, paint application equipment, paint lines, air lines, and respirator.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Must be able to work in a team environment and meet deadlines.
- Willing to learn and follow an established process.
- Consistently show up on-time to work.
- Available to work overtime when needed.
- Team-minded, and self-motivating
Education and Experience:
Completion of a formal apprenticeship program, previous experience, or on-the-job training required
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and bending required.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
- Must be able to distinguish among colors.
