Payroll Specialist
Direct Hire
Salary: $65K - $85K (depending on experience)

Summary/Objective
This position will be responsible for performing various duties associated with the biweekly payroll process.

Essential Functions
• Monitors and download timekeeping information from automated system.
• Processes involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments.
• Resolves time card discrepancies by obtaining supervisory approval.
• Calculates sales commissions/overrides.
• Ensures employee advances and paybacks are administered.
• Processes and closes bi-weekly payrolls.
• Completes employment verifications as needed.
• Responsible for the processing and issuance of annual W-2 forms to the employees.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, Certifications and Licensure
• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of payroll processing experience in a service or SAAS environment (Ceridian, ADP, Ultimate, Paychex).
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll; wage withholding and garnishments.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications
• Excellent client and communication skills.
• Able to read, write and speak English fluently. Bilingual is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) required.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Must possess sound decision-making skills and multi-task while working in a fast-paced environment with specific deadlines.
