Plasma Table Operator
Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 (DOE
Shift: 6:30 a. – 2:30p (start w/day shift for a couple of months then move to night shift 2p-10p ($2.00/hrs. shift differential for nights)
Nesting/Operating software: Steel Solutions. (plus)
Duties and responsibilities are as follows but not limited to:
- Run nesting programs administered by the CNC Programmer.
- The ability to make small adjustments based on plate size used from inventory to reduce accumulation of raw materials.
- Inspect parts to the drawing issued for accuracy to determine if there needs to be any cutting adjustments.
- Must be able to verify the proper material is loaded and all parts are cut according to drawing specifications, maintain dimensions and perforation of shapes.
- Fill out assigned work sheets legibly and properly.
- Label all shapes cut from plate steel with but not limited to : Sales Order Number, Part Number, Qty & Heat #.
- Use overhead crane for loading plate onto plasma table.
- Receive and stock consumables.
- Maintain all equipment in proper working conditions and report any safety, mechanical, electrical, and performance issued to shop supervisor immediately.
- Always follow all safety and quality procedures.
- Forklift experience preferred but not required.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
