Process Technician:
Schedule Monday- Thursday, 10-hour shift, 30 mins lunch or Tuesday- Friday, 10-hour shift, 30 mins lunch
$18- $20 depending on experience

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Process Technician is responsible for extruding, milling, applying, and testing samples using laboratory size equipment as per established procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate a small-scale extruder like Baker Perkins MPX19, Coperion ZSK-16, ZK-30 or similar.
- Clean and have a good understanding of how to operate the extruder.
- Mill powder coatings samples using small and medium size grinders as per laboratory specification.
- Sieve, classify powder samples as per Powder Technician I/II, Group Leader/Chemist/ requirements.
- Ensure the work area is clean of debris and any possible contaminates to powder.
- Apply powder coating using an electrostatic gun and test as per Powder Technician I/II, Group Leader/Chemist/ requirements.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
No supervisory responsibilities for this position.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY
This individual will be expected to work in a group environment under the supervision of a team leader. He/she will be expected to use good judgment, and ethical decision-making abilities when testing and reporting data obtained during laboratory testing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
Ability to operate machinery.
Able to lift to 25 lbs.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High School diploma is desirable.
Prior experience in a production environment is desirable.
Good verbal communication skills and the ability to work as a part of a team or under direct supervision is essential.

The employee must be able to communicate clearly with others and must be physically able to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and kneel. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move up to approximately 25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision and color vision.
