Procurement Specialist
Direct Hire
Salary: $69K - $80K annually
General Description:
Provide pre-purchase analysis, up-front supplier coordination, procurement POC for engineering & special project management
Responsibilities:
- Conduct demand v. forecast v. on hand inventory analysis to ensure buyers PR Queues are correct and accurate
- Negotiate NDA’s as required for new suppliers
- Coordinate with engineering on BOM changes and/or new materials/obsoleted materials
- Coordinate procurement activities with planning and engineering for product revisions and obsolete units
- Assist Procurement Manager with special optimization and continuous improvement projects
- Drive efficiency in the procurement process
- Update Item Master prices, when requested or necessary
- Notify suppliers to issue invoices after equipment, materials, and services have been received, and are past due
- Enter schedules and shipping details in ERP, when requested or necessary

Minimum Qualifications:
- Associates degree in business, supply chain management or industrial distribution or equivalent
- 3 years purchasing or analytical experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of purchasing and sourcing systems
- Proficiency in an ERP purchasing system
- Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
- Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Availability to travel domestically less than 5%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in business, supply chain management or industrial distribution
- Purchasing experience in a multi-entity, multi-currency, international, industrial environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in Oracle
- Project management experience
