Hours: Monday - Friday 7 AM/8 AM - 5 PM (Available on weekends as needed)
Our client is a growing supplement manufacturer dedicated to producing high-quality health and wellness products. They are currently seeking a skilled Industrial Mechanic to join our team and help maintain and optimize our production equipment.
Job Summary:
As an Industrial Mechanic, you will be responsible for setting up, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production machinery and facility equipment to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will work closely with production staff and management to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
Key Responsibilities:
· Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems on production equipment.
· Perform routine preventive maintenance to prevent equipment failures and downtime.
· Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
· Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to execute repairs and modifications.
· Work with management to recommend equipment upgrades, replacements, and efficiency improvements.
· Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, including OSHA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
· Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
· Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
· Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and reliability.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Experience: 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food/supplement production environment.
· Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Experience with PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
· Education: High school diploma or GED required. Technical certifications or trade school training in industrial maintenance, mechanics, or a related field is preferred.
· Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
· Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and work in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
· Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with production staff and management.
