Job Description

HR and Payroll Coordinator
Temp to Hire
Pay: $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM/7:30 AM-4:30 PM/8 AM-5 PM

Duties:
HR -
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the HR Manager
  • Compile and Update employee records 
  • Maintains human resources information systems records
  • Process documentation and complies HR reports from the HR database as needed
  • Reviews all I-9 ‘s and maintains I’9 files
  • Maintain HR OneDrive
  • Handle new hire documents
  • Verification of employment
  • Process unemployment claims
  • Type overflow projects, and assist with special projects as needed
  • Audit all new hires, health benefits, 401k,
  • Ensures accurate data entry into systems
  • Help design and maintain quarterly newsletter
 
Payroll -
  • Prepares pay for the hourly weekly payrolls and semi-monthly payrolls
  • Prepares pay by verifying compiled payroll data including hours worked and deductions to be withheld; calculating checks or electronic transfers
  • Balances payroll by auditing information; identifying and resolving discrepancies
  • Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll
  • Reviews new hires, employee changes, terminations, deduction changes, etc. into the Payroll/HRIS system
  • Maintains payroll files
  • Records Tax and Direct Deposit information into the Payroll system
  • Processes manual payroll checks for all lost, stale-dated, voided, and stop payment payroll checks
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Payroll Manager

Requirements: 
  • Must have previous experience processing full-cycle multi-state payroll 
  • JD Edwards software experience is a PLUS
