Project Estimator needed in the Woodlands.
Do you have experience reviewing plan sets and providing quantity takeoffs from those plan sets? We need candidates who have the experience in performing on screen takeoffs!
Direct Hire Opportunity
Pay: $50K - $60K annually
Location: Woodlands PKWY/45 North Area
Work schedule: Monday -Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm (No Weekends)
Software used: On-Screen Takeoff Software, and AutoCAD
Must be able to read Blueprints and Commercial Building Plans
What does the Ideal Resume look like?
This role is fully in office, sitting at a desk, inputting project information into a CRM platform from the plan sets and specifications and completing on-screen takeoffs from those same plan sets. It is helpful to have a background in construction. Ideal candidate will need to know how to read plan sets, use takeoff software, and AutoCAD.
Job Responsibilities:
• Review invitations to bid on projects from multiple General Contractors for your assigned region(s).
• Reviewing blueprints and specifications for each job to input an accurate and detailed full scope of work into our custom-built CRM platform.
• Performing material and labor takeoff using in house software
• Ability to create and draw roofing details using AutoCAD software.
• Create RFI's and communicate those to customers and their estimators.
• Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process.
• Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates.
Qualifications:
• Solid understanding of basic construction principles
• Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans for commercial buildings.
• 2 - 4 years of construction experience preferred
• Experience in performing material takeoff.
• Familiarity with using AutoCAD
