SUMMARY
Perform audit of products at various stages of production process; compile and evaluate statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products. Audit of products, business processes and installation at various stages.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.
• Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas and confer with management, engineering or sales/marketing staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
• Ensure that customer and company expectations for quality standards are met by leading the quality effort, guiding the establishment of procedures and providing direction on manufacturing inspection and test functions.
• Ensure customer quality issues are resolved by investigating quality problems, through interaction with sales/marketing staff or support staff, disposition of returned goods and through initiation of corrective action.
• Select products for tests at specified stages in production or shipping process; conduct and supervise testing or auditing of received and finished goods for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical, electrical characteristics.
• Record test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
• Evaluate data and write reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
• Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
• Ensure accuracy of implementation or installation of products in the facility and on job sites through the use of blueprints, drawings, or specifications.
• Communicate changes to Engineering, Customer Service and/or Manufacturing as required in order to meet customer requirements or to improve quality.
• Resolve customer complaints or problems by analyzing problem and recommend appropriate solution; continuously identify process improvements.
• Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to specifications and the adherence to construction schedules.
• Train employees on processes, skills and techniques or cross train to ensure consistent project support.
