Pay: $24.00 - $31.00 (depending on experience)
First Shift
Responsibilities/Job Duties:
- Performs Receiving Inspections of select materials, parts, and equipment.
- Verifies, Reviews, and Approves the quality documentation for select materials, parts, and equipment.
- Prepares, Performs, and Evaluates Welder qualification coupons and testing.
- Performs Visual Inspections (VT) of welding (WPS compliance, fit-ups, in-process, and final).
- Performs and documents Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) of materials, parts, and equipment by various methods.
- Performs and documents Pressure and Leak Integrity Tests.
- Performs and documents Paint Inspections.
- Performs and documents P&ID Verification and Final Inspections.
- Identifies and documents Non-Conformances (NCR) during Quality activities.
- Prepares, maintains, and completes Quality production records and inspection activity records as necessary and required.
- Prepares photographs of equipment for final documentation and records.
- Prepares and installs engraved nameplates for completed equipment.
- Makes recommendations for improvement in Quality processes, procedures, and methods as necessary.
- Use manual and electronic measurement equipment as necessary for the performance of inspection activities.
- Assists the Quality Manager as necessary.
Requirements:
- A Minimum of two (2) years’ experience as either:
- A Quality Inspector of ASME BPVC equipment/piping in a Shop or Field environment; or,
- An NDE Level II Technician for VT, PT, MT, or UT employed by an NDT Service Company/Provider.
- American Welding Society (AWS) CWI (Preferred).
- Complete qualification as NDE Level II Technician IAW ASNT SNT-TC-1A.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer-based programs and functions.
- Thorough understanding of the product and/or process being inspected.
- Thorough attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to routinely lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Dexterity and accuracy as needed to operate testing equipment or gauges.
- Must be able to pass a Jaeger-2 visual Acuity Test.
- Must be able to pass a visual Color Deficiency Test.
