High Reach Forklift Driver Summary
We are seeking a skilled High Reach Forklift Driver to safely and efficiently move, store, and retrieve materials within our warehouse. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a reach truck in high-racking environments and be comfortable performing high-reach storage and retrieval activities while maintaining productivity, accuracy, and safety standards. Candidates must be dependable and available to work consistently.
High Reach Forklift Driver Responsibilities
- Operate a reach truck and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load, unload, move, stack, and stage products and materials throughout the warehouse.
- Perform high-reach storage and retrieval activities in narrow aisle and high-bay racking systems.
- Accurately pick and replenish inventory from elevated storage locations.
- Conduct pre-shift equipment inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
- Handle inventory carefully to prevent product damage.
- Follow all company safety policies, warehouse procedures, and OSHA regulations.
- Assist with inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock rotation as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Support general warehouse operations and perform other duties as assigned.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and maintain compliance with established ISO management system requirements.
High Reach Forklift Driver Requirements
- Previous experience operating a reach truck is required.
- Valid forklift certification or the ability to obtain certification.
- Experience working with high-rack warehouse storage systems.
- Ability to safely operate equipment at elevated heights and in narrow aisles.
- Experience utilizing RF scanners for inventory management.
- Background in distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments.
- Multiple years of reach truck and forklift operating experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to work in Warehouse environment with exposure to varying temperatures depending on the season, warehouse configuration, and loading dock activity.
- Frequent operation of powered industrial equipment at elevated heights.
