Sandblaster Operator
Shift: 1st (6am-2:30pm)
Pay: $18-22/hr.

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate the sandblaster/ blast booth, lifting devices and overhead crane according to guidelines.
- Prepare metal parts by sandblasting areas on tools per print.
- Apply bonding agent on tools where indicated per print.
- Remove dirt, paint, grease, and other built-up material from surfaces.
- Interpret engineering drawings, engineering specifications and written process procedures.
- Interpret and follow posted production schedules.
- Work with labor and materials traceability documentation and guidelines, such as ISO 9001
- Work with electronic labor reporting / job progress scanning.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
- Other duties as assigned or required.
TOOLS, EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES:
- Ability to work under a minimum of supervision in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic to intermediate skills in MS Office products to include Word, Excel, ERP and MRP systems.
- Familiarity with computer networks and e-mail.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Requires one-year certificate from college or technical school and/or minimum of three to five years related experience as outlined above with prior assembly experience as well as material handling preferred.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Must be able to read blueprints and tape measure.
- Knowledge in sandblasting.
- Attention to details.
- Ability to work under close supervision.
- Ability to read and understand instructions as they pertain to machinery operation or departmental tasks.
- Perform sandblasting operations associated with the production of inflatable or swellable packers and other downhole tools.
